Hii have just bought my first alfa romeo, i went for a 156 2.0 selespeed. After 1 weeks trouble free motoring the car has developed a problem. The car starts perfect and seems fine untill i try to change up gears from first to second. The car pauses for 3-5 seconds before missing out second gear and going straight into 3rd.

HiBazz Bazz, great info. I race a 2005 Alfa Romeo GT 4 cyl JTS Selespeed and have experienced similar issues. The only issue now in very hot weather and heavy traffic, stop start, stop start, yes the GT is road registered, we have to sit and wait until things cool down, about 20mins or so, and away we go. When racing no issues.
