Škoda Octavia. Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013) Adding a USB port. I’m looking to add a USB port to my car to make it easier to charge my phone on-the-go (I was using an adaptor in the cigarette lighter but it never sits right and keeps disconnecting). I don’t need it to link to the stereo or anything like that - just need power.
Posted 13 December, 2016. You can buy cheaper Qi charging plates, connect them to a USB power supply, and then hide it all under the centre console. Stick the charging plate under where you want it, and it should be fine. There are people online who have done this, have a google for ideas!
As a temporary work-around; I suggest you switch-off your contact sharing option on your phone. On my Note 10, go into settings-> Connections-> Bluetooth and find the car - click on the cog wheel (for settings for that bluetooth link) and *disable* Contact Access.
A lot of these Android head units only fit the FL Mk2 and aren't backwards compatible with the earlier models Some claim they will fit all model years but it's a bit of a minefield and one reason I've still not bit the bullet and bought one yet. Hello everyone, Recently bought a new Skoda Octavia 2020 and been using AA since. It always connects fine but 4/10-ish times I connect, it'll connect fine but the audio won't play even though Spotify says it's playing.
